The Jonas Brothers’ tour dates have just been announced by Live Nation, and they will be making a stop in Everett. The tour, which kicks off the aptly named “Look Me In The Eyes” tour for Jonas Brothers’ new single “When You Look Me In The Eyes,” will play the Comcast Arena at Everett Events Center on February 5.
The announcement comes on the heels of a wildly successful year for Jonas Brothers, which included their first platinum album and their special guest appearance on the sold out “Best of Both Worlds” arena tour with Hanna Montana, massive internet and top 40 radio exposure, and countless TV appearances and magazine covers.
FYI: Billboard magazine also named the group the pop tour break out pick for 2008.

A Florida man is fighting to stop paying maintenance to his ex-wife – because she’s now a man.
Lawrence Roach, of Seminole, says his ex-wife has had a sex swap op and is now living as a man.
He says he should be allowed stop paying his £650 monthly alimony payments, reports Bay News 9.
“This isn’t right. It’s humiliating to me and degrading,” he said.
“You know, I’m a man and I don’t want to be paying alimony to a man. If you can’t be married to a man legally, how can you legally pay alimony to a man?”
Roach and his ex-wife, who Bay News 9 did not identify, divorced 18 months ago after being married for more than 17 years.
(yup- still not in Everett/Seattle!)

Naked professor shock students
(Whatever you do, DON”T join this class…)
A Chinese professor shocked his students by stripping naked during an art class.<
Prof Mo Xiaoxin, 56, was trying to emphasise the “power” of the body and to “challenge taboos”, according to a Chinese newspaper.
Mo, 56, arranged for four other models, including a man and woman in their seventies or eighties, and a younger couple, to strip naked in front of the class while he lectured.
During the class, he also invited students to take off their clothes.
“Professor Mo appeared emotionally excited at the time,” the paper quoted a student as saying.
“As he was talking, he undid his belt and took off his pants, and stood naked in the middle of the lecture podium.”
The naked lecture, at the Institute of Human Body Culture and Arts in Changzhou city, made many of the 30 or so students feel “uneasy”, the paper said.
“Some kept their eyes trained on the ceiling, some awkwardly bowed their heads and stared at the ground”.
Tian Junting, a culture ministry official, said the course was still in a “research phase” and it wasn’t yet known whether it had produced “positive or negative effects”.
“There are no taboos in the field of research, but to do this directly in the course of teaching is obviously not appropriate,” he added.

Woman’s 7.5 metre fingernails
(It extends into a huge ‘C’ curl with the tips touching her upper knee: I kid you not.)
A US woman who has been growing her fingernails since 1979 has made the Guiness Book of Records.
Lee Redmond, 65, from Utah, qualified for entry in the 2007 edition after her nails reached a combined length of 7.5 metres.
She’s going to have them all removed – by laser – on November 22 this year.
Mrs Redmond treats her nails daily with warm olive oil and nail hardener and says she can do most household chores without a problem, including shaving her husband.
